Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 October 2026
Belozi Business Consulting (Belozi, we, us or our) respects your privacy and handles personal information with care. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, secure and dispose of personal information when you use this website or engage us for translation, interpreting, training or consulting services.
We aim to follow the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) where they apply to us, and use them as our privacy standard where an exemption may apply.
1. Information we may collect
We may collect your name, contact details, preferred language, service instructions, correspondence, billing and transaction details, and technical information such as IP address, browser type, referring page and website activity.
Documents supplied for translation or assessment may contain identity, immigration, family, education, employment, financial, legal, health or other sensitive information about you or another person. Please send only information reasonably necessary for your enquiry or service.
2. How we collect information
We collect information directly from you through this website, email, telephone, messaging services, meetings and files you provide. We may also receive information from a person you authorise, a lawyer, government agency, business, court or another client-side representative.
If you provide information about another person, you confirm that you are authorised to provide it and to instruct us to process it for the requested service.
3. Why we use information
- to assess an enquiry and prepare a quote;
- to perform translation, interpreting, transcription, training or consulting services;
- to verify instructions, names, terminology and document requirements;
- to communicate with you and manage delivery, invoicing and payment;
- to meet professional, contractual, legal, court or regulatory obligations;
- to maintain security, prevent misuse and improve the website and our services.
Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing. We will only send marketing where we have the consent or other lawful basis required by Australian law, and every commercial message will provide a practical way to unsubscribe.
4. Disclosure
We may disclose information only where reasonably necessary to: authorised staff or confidential service providers; hosting, email, IT, storage and payment providers; an interpreter, translator or specialist engaged for your matter with your knowledge or where reasonably required by the engagement; your nominated recipient; professional advisers; or a court, government authority or regulator where authorised or required by law.
We do not sell personal information.
5. Overseas recipients and external services
Email, cloud, analytics, messaging and technology providers may process or store information outside Australia. Their locations can change and may include the United States and other countries in which their infrastructure or support teams operate. A service may also require disclosure to an overseas client or recipient identified in your instructions. Where practicable, we will tell you about a material overseas disclosure connected with your project.
WhatsApp, Telegram, Viber and other third-party platforms operate under their own privacy terms. Do not use a messenger to send sensitive documents if you are not comfortable with that platform’s handling of information; use the website form or email us to agree another method.
6. Website files, security and retention
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No internet transmission or storage method is completely secure, so please contact us before sending exceptionally sensitive material.
Files uploaded through the enquiry form are used to deliver the email enquiry and are removed from the website after transmission. Working translation materials are normally destroyed or securely deleted within one month of the invoice date, unless a longer period is required by law, a court or government contract, professional obligations, a dispute, or your written instructions. Invoices and transaction records may be retained for the period required by Australian tax and corporate laws.
7. Cookies and analytics
The website may use essential cookies needed for security, forms, language selection and basic operation, and limited analytics to understand aggregate website use. Cookies may record device and browsing information but are not intended to read files from your device. You can restrict cookies in your browser, although some functions may then work incorrectly. If non-essential advertising or profiling technology is introduced, this policy and any required consent mechanism will be updated before it is used.
8. Access and correction
You may ask what personal information we hold about you, request access, or ask us to correct inaccurate information. Email info@belozi.com.au. We may need to verify your identity and may refuse or limit access where the law permits, including where disclosure would affect another person’s privacy.
9. Privacy complaints
Send a written complaint to info@belozi.com.au or Suite 1, 11 Bona Vista Avenue, Maroubra, N.S.W., 2035, Australia. Describe the issue and the outcome you seek. We will acknowledge and investigate the complaint within a reasonable period. If you are not satisfied and the Privacy Act applies, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
10. Changes
We may update this policy when our practices or legal obligations change. The current version and update date will remain on this page.
